The Southern Pines Elks Lodge #1692 has been a fixture on SE Broad Street for generations, and the moment you walk through the door, you understand why regulars keep coming back. The crackling fireplace greets you before you've even settled in, and the warmth of the room matches the warmth of the people inside. This is a place that has lived a full life, and it shows in every corner in the best possible way.

From karaoke nights that fill the room with laughter to fundraiser events that draw the broader Moore County community, the Lodge operates as a genuine gathering place rather than a dusty relic. Reviewers consistently note the spacious layout and ample parking, practical details that matter when you're hosting a crowd. The food earns its own compliments, unpretentious and satisfying, the kind you actually look forward to.

As a chapter of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge #1692 channels its energy into charitable work that reaches veterans, youth programs, and neighbors in need across the Southern Pines area. Membership here means more than a card in your wallet. It means standing for something alongside people who mean it.

What We Offer

Lodge #1692 hosts a rotating calendar of events that gives members and guests plenty of reasons to show up. Karaoke nights draw a lively crowd, the bar is well-stocked, and the kitchen turns out solid comfort food that pairs perfectly with good company. The fireplace lounge creates a natural gathering spot when the Carolina evenings cool down.

Beyond the social calendar, the Lodge offers its event space for fundraisers, community gatherings, and private functions. The floor plan accommodates large groups comfortably, and the parking lot handles the overflow without drama. For organizations looking for a venue with character rather than a sterile banquet hall, this is a compelling option.

Membership in the BPOE unlocks reciprocal privileges at Elks Lodges across the country, a meaningful perk for travelers and military families. Local members also gain access to scholarship programs, veterans outreach initiatives, and the kind of civic engagement that actually moves the needle in a small community like Southern Pines.

“While I like the new bar, I sorta miss the old basement bar. Staff is always friendly and food is good.”

"Below is my earlier review, but apparently it is wrong. I received a message from someone (owner or the ER?) saying that the location has changed. So, I'm assuming the location changed, and apologize for my earlier post and for now have changed my rating to 5 stars because I just don't know. Here is my earlier post in case some people continue to go to the old location: Drove out there today, and discovered it has been closed for nearly a year along with the golf course. Only thing standing is pool, a bar, and a pro shop. Why the pro shop is anyone's guess. Very disappointing."

"Have been here several times for fundraiser type events. It is an older establishment that shows its age, but it still is a great venue with good people. Plenty of space and parking."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
